Theta Chi fraternity here at UMass Amherst is all about the experience.  From the classroom to the field, Theta Chi’s are some of the most involved men on campus.

Why Theta Chi

Brotherhood is a strong and essential part of our fraternity.  If you have ever been on a competitive sports team, or been heavily involved in a club at your high school, you may begin to have had an idea of what a brotherhood feels like.  At Theta Chi, we extend that concept so much further.

Theta Chi is built around a lifetime of commitment and collaboration. Alumni brothers are always looking for opportunities to come back and visit or help out, even several years after graduation. Alumni brother John Huntington said, “Joining Theta Chi was the best decision I made in my college career.  The friends I made will last a lifetime.” When you become a brother of Theta Chi, you join an elite group of men. You form bonds with brothers that will far exceed the bonds you will form with other friends on campus during your time at UMass Amherst.  Theta Chi establishes academic scholars, athletes, and leaders both during their stay on campus as students and in future endeavors after college.

Campus Involvment

The most important part of our time as Theta Chi’s is getting it done in the classroom, and that is something we pride ourselves in. Throughout your time at college you will never find such an effective and resourceful support system as the one you get from your brothers. Theta Chi has a broad range of different majors, which means brothers frequently do homework and study together.  Below is a breakdown of our current active brothers and their schools:

Theta Chi’s strive to be successful not only in the classroom, but within the campus community.  We have brothers involved in multiple student organizations ranging from starting on the club hockey team to holding office in the Student Government Association (SGA).  Theta Chi’s are involved across the UMass community and in doing so establish the fraternity as a well rounded, influential, and growing organization.

% of Brothers

Outside of the fraternity, across many areas of the campus, Theta Chi has members in multiple extracurricular activities.  Members of our fraternity serve on the SGA, in roles as high as VP of the Student Body to off-campus representatives.  Our brothers are dedicated to enriching Greek Life within the UMass campus, and will use multiple measures to ensure that Greeks are getting the aid required to uphold a stable system.  Theta Chi also has multiple members involved in club and intramural sports.

Social

Theta Chi hosts multiple social events throughout the year.  We host different sororities each week for a mixer with different themes ranging from U.S.A. to high school stereotypes.  We pride ourselves on our tailgates; and host both winter and spring formals in places such as Stratton, VT, Cape Cod, MA, and Montreal, Canada each year.
